The Pirastro Obligato violin strings are among Pirastro’s top synthetic core string lines. Their core, made from a modern, multifilament synthetic fibre developed exclusively with a supplier, provides unmatched tonal flexibility. 

These strings are characterised by a warm, full-bodied sound complemented by a rich overtone spectrum. While maintaining brilliance, they remain focused and balanced. Their response (attack), volume capacity, and dynamic range are outstanding. 

Another major advantage of Obligato strings is their excellent tuning stability and resistance to environmental changes — they are minimally affected by fluctuations in temperature or humidity. This makes them reliable for regular use, concerts, and orchestral settings. 

Set options include a choice of E string (Goldsteel or regular steel), while the A, D, and G strings come wound with aluminium or silver. Sizes are offered from 4/4 down to 1/8, with medium tension as standard.
